Overview

Crypto businesses, particularly digital currency exchanges and crypto brokerages, are generally subject to the AML/CTF Act and Rules, and possibly financial services laws, which may require the crypto business to be registered with AUSTRAC and obtain an AFSL.

Step 1:

Consultation & Engagement

Have a free initial consultation with you to obtain a better understanding of your plans and circumstances, and based on such, advise you on all relevant requirements and processes. Accordingly, provide you with a fixed-fee proposal.

Step 2:

Information Gathering & Advice

Obtain all the necessary information we require from you to be able to advise you on whether you will be required to register with AUSTRAC and/or obtain an AFSL based on your planned business operations, and to set out a plan to ensure all application processes are efficient.

Step 3:

Preparation & Submission

Dependent on the licenses required by your proposed crypto business, we will begin the preparation of the documents for the registration with AUSTRAC and/or the AFSL Application and once they are finalised, we will submit the respective applications with AUSTRAC and/or ASIC.

Step 4:

Application Management

After the respective applications are submitted, we will liaise with the appointed AIUSTRAC and/or ASIC officers and respond to any queries they may have, all the way till the AUSTRAC Registration and/or AFSL is officially granted, keeping you notified along the way.
