Biography
Andrew is a Special Counsel at Adria Group. Andrew has over 25 years of substantial experience in the legal industry, particularly within financial services and corporate and commercial law, and has significant expertise in assisting a wide range of SMEs, large global organisations and individuals across various specialties.
Andrew is an experienced financial services lawyer providing legal advice and guidance to clients in relation to their financial services business including AFSL applications, AFSL compliance, regulatory advice and management, new product offerings, AML/CTF compliance, wealth management legal advice, ACL applications and ACL compliance.
Highlights include:
- assisting with establishing a Bitcoin retail fund and successfully registering it with ASIC (May 2020) – one of the first of its kind in Australia;
- providing legal consulting services to an Australian bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure business in relation to all facets of their legal compliance, assisting their general counsel, and assisting the company on its successful listing on NASDAQ;
- assisting with a project for converting a Bitcoin retail fund into an exchange-traded fund to be listed on the National Stock Exchange; and
- assisting with the establishment of two retail crypto exchange-traded funds.
Andrew is also experienced in commercial contracts, capital raising and commercial litigation.
